Metazoários parasitos do congro-rosa Genypterus brasiliensis Regan, 1903 (Osteichthyes, Ophidiidae) do litoral do estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil

Between September of 2000 and January of 2001, 55 specimens of pink cusk-eel, Genypterus brasiliensis Regan, 1903 were captured of the coastal of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (aprox. 21-23 S, 41-45 W), and necropsied to study of their metazoan parasites. Eleven species of metazoan parasites were collected in G. brasiliensis: 1 digenean, 3 cestodes, 2 acantocephalans, 4 nematodes, and 1 copepod. Genypterus brasiliensis is a new host record for Acanthocolpus brasiliensis Fernandes & Souza, 1973; Lacistorhynchus sp.; Nybelinia sp.; Scolex pleuronectis Müller, 1758; Polymorphus sp.; Contracaecum sp., and Chondracanthus genypteri Thomson, 1889. Cucullanus genypteri Sardella, Navone & Timi, 1997 and Ch. genypteri were recorded for the first time in Brazil.
