The objective of this study was to evaluate the oestrus and pregnancy using seven and 14 dayssynchronization protocol followed by fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI) in sheep, 50 ewes were selectedand divided into two groups: G-14 (n = 25) and G-07 (n = 25). Were inserted vaginal sponges that remained forseven and 14 days, time when were applied e.G.C. and Cloroprostenol, this only in the G-07. Oestrus and FTAIwere 55 hours after. It was used sperm diluted in ACP-102 with 5% egg yolk, and refrigerated at 4 °C for fourhours. The results were: oestrus rates of 60% and 84%; pregnancy rates of 56% and 72%; lambing of 48% and68%, for G-07 and G- 14, respectively (P > 0.05). In conclusion, the short protocol was effective insynchronizing estrus wooless sheep, as well as long-term protocol.(AU)
