Desenvolvimento ponderal de crias caprinas da raça Canindé exploradas em regime de manejo semi-intensivo na zona semiárida da região Nordeste

The aim of this study was to evaluate the weight development of native kids of Canindé breed, from birth to 84days of age in semiarid zone of Northeast Brazil. The does were maintened in native pasture predominantlycomposed by “caatinga”. And also received supplementation with multiple mixture throughout the year,regardless of the season, rainy or dry. Three handed and seventy seven females were submmited to five breedingseasons. There were single, double and triple births. The type of birth, season and sex affect the total weightwhile the player did not affect the overall weight of the kids.(AU)
