The use of residences roofs for bats is very frequent in urban and agricultural areas of Brazil. Three species are responsible for at least 75% of these occupations: Myotis nigricans, Molossus molossus and Molossus ater. In some cases the removal of these colonies is necessary ant the capture of bats with mist nets or hand nets it is not always possible. Therefore, we developed a unexpensive and easy to operate trap for removing bats from roofs. The trap was efficient to remove with minimum damage the colonies that caused problems to the users of the buildings and houses. For the complete removal of the colony some consecutive nights of trapping may be necessary.
