The present study attained to make the firstbat survey of the Conquista Plateau, Brazils northeast Atlantic rainforest, Bahia state. Bat species were sampledusing mist-nets in 10 forest fragments, and resulted in 41 individuals of 13 species belonging to two families(Phyllostomidae and Vespertilionidae). Bats were also sporadically sampled in edges and cleared areas, anddiurnal roosts were searched, which increased species number to 20. Artibeus gnomus, Micronycteris hirsuta, M. schmidtorum and Pygoderma bilabiatum had their distribution range extended.
